About NAAC
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the UGC in 1994 to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in India. Its primary aim is to promote quality in teaching, learning, research, and overall institutional functioning through periodic evaluation and accreditation. About IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a mechanism created in every accredited institution as per NAAC guidelines. It works as a quality sustenance and enhancement measure. IQAC develops strategies for continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance, ensures timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic and co-curricular activities, and promotes a culture of quality in all aspects of the institution.
Objective
- To enhance quality in academic and co-curricular programs.
- To facilitate periodic assessment and accreditation.
- To develop benchmarks for institutional performance.
- To create a learner-friendly environment supported by modern technology.
- To ensure continuous improvement in all institutional processes.
Mission
- To develop a systematic approach for academic and administrative performance.

Vision
To foster a culture of quality and excellence in higher education by promoting continuous improvement in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.
Purpose
The purpose of NAAC and IQAC is to build and sustain an internal mechanism for quality assurance, enabling the institution to excel in education, research, and social responsibility while meeting global standards.
Functioning
The IQAC functions as the central body for planning, guiding, and monitoring quality assurance activities in the college. It works continuously to enhance academic and administrative performance through:
- Designing and implementing quality benchmarks.
- Ensuring student-centric teaching and learning practices.
- Collecting feedback from stakeholders and taking corrective measures.
- Organizing seminars, workshops, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Preparing and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC.
- Promoting a culture of innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement across all departments.
AQAR
The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) is a self-review report prepared by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of an institution and submitted annually to NAAC.
It reflects the institution’s progress in maintaining and enhancing quality during the academic year. The AQAR highlights:
- Curricular and co-curricular activities.
- Teaching–learning processes and innovations.
- Research, extension, and outreach programs.
- Student support and progression.
- Governance, leadership, and management initiatives.
- Best practices and institutional distinctiveness.
The AQAR serves both as a record of quality enhancement efforts and as a roadmap for continuous improvement.
ATR
The Action Taken Report (ATR) is a formal report prepared by college to show what actions have been taken on the decisions, recommendations, or suggestions made by IQAC.
Purpose of ATR
- To ensure accountability.
- To demonstrate follow-up on decisions and recommendations.
- To provide a record of improvements carried out.
- To support quality assurance in accreditation processes.
